As music’s newest up-and-coming artist, Candi Lynn’s unique blend of pop, hip-hop, Rock-N-Roll, and R&B has given this new pop princess an organic and rejuvenated sound that has secured her a spot as one of the industry’s freshest faces to hit the scene. Candi Lynn was born in 1988 in the midst of some of pop culture’s most defining moments. The songstress’s home life was the breeding ground for her eclectic style of music, as a daughter of a teenage mother the young vocalist’s childhood was anything but picture perfect. Even though Candi didn’t grow up in a tough inner-city area, she knows what hard times are about and what it means to struggle. Candi and her two siblings were raised by a single mother: Candi’s manager Carrie Ariemma, a domestic violence survivor. Despite facing an uphill battle, Ariemma beat the odds and went on to become a successful entrepreneur who owns a major nightclub in Atlantic City. Candi Lynn found solace in the music blaring from her mother’s kitchen radio and the boom-boxes of the Jersey Shore, drawing inspiration from the golden age of hip-hop, freestyle and pop music in it’s prime. Over the years, this passion for musical authenticity transformed into talent and in the spring of 2004, Candi Lynn’s mother urged her to participate in a Philadelphia nightclub open mic night. After wowing the audience, both Candi Lynn and her mother, Carrie Ariemma, jumped full throttle into the music industry, creating the independent music label ILL Miss Musick in 2008. Over the next few months Candi Lynn co-wrote and recorded 15 tracks for her debut 2009 album ILLMissBehavin, produced by Chris “The Hitman” Conway, marking the first release for the ILL Miss Musick label. Regionally ILLMissBehavin went on to stir up quite a buzz for Candi Lynn, opening the doors to opportunities to perform at multiple in-store appearances at f.y.e music retailers and Mandee, a popular East Coast women’s clothing chain. Now in 2010, Candi has the support of a whole team of top music industry professionals. Candi Lynn has created a style that is distinctive, original and individualistic rather than generic or manufactured — and her originality is impossible to miss on her latest single “Hop’N Pop’N” produced by Matt Lock Robinson, with a dance remix by top remixers, “The Disco Fries.” “Hop’N Pop’N” is by far Candi Lynn’s most successful song to date with Mix show and radio airplay on several stations throughout the United States and over 70,000 views on youtube in just seven short weeks.
