The Certified Don Jarrett McCarthy Stetten, also known by his stage names Duke City Don and The (Certified) Don, is an American hip hop recording artist, performer, and entrepreneur. Stetten was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and grew up in both Albuquerque and Long Beach, California. Since the age of 10, Stetten has ranged from playing in Bands to Rap Groups/Crews but soon realized that it didn't matter what type of music, genres you might say, it was the flow of the words that Stetten was addicted to. "It was the only true way to express and let go of frustration, pain, anger from DEATH, sickness, and the PROBLEMS everyone of us go through in life.” Stetten remembers laying in his childhood bed, unable to sleep, while manifesting some of the ugliest anxiety while reflecting on society and life.
